Monica Dollison

My name is Monica Dollison,I am an artist living in Echo Park  CA.                                            

 Originally a native of Argentina Buenos Aires.

            I studied at Los Angeles Trade Technical College where I received a scholarship in  Visual Communications and continued my studies and obtained a scholarship to  Art Center College of Design.

                   I have worked at DreamWorks Feature Animation,Disney FeatureAnimation, ACME FilmWorks   and Animation WorldNetwork. I also worked as a caricature artist at  Universal Studios Hollywood.

      I love drawing caricatures and portraits of people but my true love is painting. My inspiration and painting  style varies as much as my influences Frida Kahlo, Georgia O’keefe and David Hockney as well as many others.

I would like to invite you the viewer to my intimate space of creativity and to explore the sensitivity of my work. Many of my Paintings border on the realm of dreams and reality. When I paint a  portrait my main concern is to capture the true essence and feeling of the person and to reflect in their eyes their spirit.

In recent years I have been studying under Artist Aaron Donavan and karl Gnass.I have had solo exhibitions    as well as participated in various group exhibitions. Current my work can be seen at the
